It is with a heavy heart the club passes on the news that long term loyal club servant Bob Benzies has passed away. Bob was an Honorary President in recent years but was previously club President and an industrious one at that. Bob is a great example of someone who dearly loved his club and put a lot into it. A job he enjoyed and took time over was ensuring that a high quality and well framed photograph would adorn the pivvy wall after a cup or league win from the 1st XI or 2nd XI. A sign that age was starting to get the better was when he could not fulfil his ambition to 'take care' of the 2014 photo. Bob, we will miss you this summer and in the future as we enjoyed a blether with you on the boundary edge or at the Pavilion benches. We hope we can get another photo on the wall this summer for you.
