Match report Meigle XI continued their steady improvement this season under skipper Boyer, but still succumbed to a 49 run loss at home to Strathmore.

The men from Lochside batted first and racked up a healthy 179 with 37 and 27 from regulars Milton and Gourlay the top scores. Best performers with the ball for Meigle were Sandy and Charles, with Murray also bowling a tidy 8 over spell picking up 2 wickets.

The Meigle reply began poorly and they were soon in trouble at 14/4 before a 74 run partnership between Boyer (43) and Lockers (29) had the home side in with a shout. Once they departed within an over of each other it was left to Sandy to bolster the tail end of the innings with 22 and the home side ended all out for 130.
