02 Dec 2013

Councillor Bob Ellis presented Meigle Cricket Club with the PACES Foundation level certificate at the final meeting of 2013 of the Eastern Perthshire Community Sports Partnership, that was held at Blairgowrie Community Campus. PACES is the Perth & Kinross Council Sports Development team's 'Accredited Club Excellence Scheme' and a great deal of work has been carried out by the committee to collate the requisite evidence for the PACES folder that was submitted. Fiona Campbell, Sports Development Officer, stated it was the '...best PACES folder I have seen'. The certificate is now up in the Victory Park pavilion.
The club will now benefit from the following:

free Emergency 1st Aid training

• free Sports Coach UK workshops

priority for block bookings at Community Campuses

promotion on Perth & Kinross Council website / other promotional materials

invitation to Perth & Kinross Sports Awards evening

The club have also recently had it confirmed, by Live Active (Perth & Kinross) Cricket Development Officer, Kirsteen Ross, that she has had email confirmation that we have successfully attained Cricket Scotland TopClub Approved, however no certificate has been sent through as yet. When it is, it will go up in the pivvy.
