Meigle Cricket Club

The SPCU this evening made the draws for the twenty20 cups at the Perth & Kinross Indoor Sixes at Bells Sports Centre. Meigle are away to fellow Perthshire outfit Rossie Priory who won last years SPCU Division One and are back in the North East Championship after one years absence. Meigle have won the Three Counties Cup on six occasions and have reached the final a further six times. This fixture is to be played by June 21st. The 2nd XI were in the hat for the 2 Counties Cup, a competition they last won in 2000.
The 2nd XI are to host Brechin Buccaneers. The SPCU have set aside Sunday 24 May for the first round ties in this competition but games can be played midweek if both teams wish but it looks like it will be a Sunday fixture.
Both second rounds (q finals) are drawn and its not, like previous years, drawn out all the way through.
